DMX began rapping in the middle of the 1990s. In the month of May 1998, the rapper released his debut album called It's Dark and HOT. Among his other albums were... and There was X, the Great Depression Year of the Dog... Again the Redemption of the Beast Gran Champ Flesh of Blood and Flesh. His album titled...And then was X was nominated by the Grammy award for Best Rap Album in 2001. The success of his music was further enhanced with appearances in films such as Lords of the Street Belly Top Five - Exit Wounded Never Die Alone The Bleeding Romeo Must Die Backstage - Beyond the Law Lockjaw - Rise of the Kulev Serpent and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
